Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools

The Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey is the only Orthodox regular elementary and junior high school in Northern New Jersey that is accredited by the prestigious Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Middle States Accreditation is only awarded after a comprehensive study of the institution that confirms it has met all 12 Middle States Accreditation standards in such areas as educational programming, administration, instructional pedagogy, teaching staff, organizational design, technology, student life and activities, facilities, health and safety, and strategic planning.

  • It is self-correcting. Accredited schools demonstrate a capacity to control their own quality.
  • It is student oriented. Its philosophy of education must express what it does for the whole student.
  • Its plans for the future. An accredited school continuously has plans that include strategies for anticipated events and goals towards even higher levels of quality.
  • It examines outcomes. Accredited schools continuously obtain and analyze objective evidence on student achievement and growth.
  • It participates in the responsibilities of the academic profession. Accredited schools participate in the self-renewing activity of evaluation and accreditation.

Awarded Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education

At an award ceremony in Washington, D.C., RYNJ was designated a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Secretary of Education. The award was based upon evidence of superior student success and a process which included a detailed description of RYNJ's educational philosophy, use of assessment tools, methods of communication, the school's skills and knowledge-based curriculum, methods of encouraging success for all students, and the school's professional development program. The award is a testament to the high level of professionalism, concern, expertise, and effort of RYNJ's teachers and administrators.

"The Blue Ribbon schools honored at this ceremony have set high standards and achieved results. The dedication of your faculty, administrators, and other leaders has helped to strengthen our schools and improve education for all children in America." - President George W. Bush

"Your schools are the very best in the country. Let me try to put your accomplishments into perspective. There are well over 100,000 public and private schools in the country. Of those schools, fewer than 300 can claim to be Blue Ribbon Schools." - U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige, November 2004

"You and your staff, students, and parents should be proud and pleased that your efforts to deliver the highest quality education are not only successful, but an example to others." - Council for American Private Education in a letter to the Yeshiva of North Jersey

Honored School of the Year by Torah Umesorah

RYNJ is one of only a few select schools to receive the National Society for Hebrew Day Schools (Torah Umesorah) "School of the Year" Award. Torah Umesorah is the largest national organization of private Jewish schools in the United States with a membership of 650 institutions.

"Through an unusual vision and partnership of professional and lay leadership, the Yeshiva of North Jersey has established itself as a model institution for Torah education in America. The Yeshiva's high quality programs of Torah scholarship and academic achievement are fostered within a framework of middot, character development and sensitivity to the individual needs of the child." - The National Society for Hebrew Day Schools
